Thursday, 22 of November, at 07:30 p.m. will take place at ANAID ART GALLERY the opening of the exhibition “Zoolandia” signed by Raluca Arnăutu, curator Diana Dochia. The persons who are found of contemporary art will be able to visit the exhibition starting with 22 of November 2012 – 1st of February 2013. Raluca Arnăutu is a graduate of the National University of Arts Bucharest. First participation into an exhibition at AnaidArtGallery took place in 2011, within the group exhibition "Beast and Suprebeasts" signed by Soap Art Kollektiv (Raluca Arnăutu & Suzana Dan). In 2012 Raluca Arnăutu participated in the third edition of the International Children's Carnival "Tales and Thoughts" organized by the Venice Biennale with the exhibition "Beasts and Superbeasts" signed by Soap Art Kollektiv (Raluca Arnăutu & Suzana Dan).
"Zoolandia”, signed by Raluca Arnăutu, recreates an imaginary world through large objects. The viewer navigates through insects which transform themselves in plants, coloured fungus and the skittish cats. We will encounter a dog with feathers, a fish which, through scales, emanates lights and a centipede which instead of its little legs has little doll hands to move easily. A graceful and a little distant cat looks at the viewer from above.
The objects created by Raluca Arnăutu represent fantastic characters where the mix of materials and textures outlines a world full of mystery. Zoolandia is a place where you can return at any time with pleasure, you just have to have imagination and know how to dream.
