Friday, 10th of June 2011, between 20:00 – 04:00, the opening of the exhibition "National Bitch" signed by Tara (von Neudorf), curator Diana Dochia, shall take place at ANAID ART GALLERY. The event shall take place as part of the White Night of Galleries, the fifth edition, 2011, NAG#5. The exhibition is forbidden for the underage. The persons who are fond of contemporary art will be able to visit the exhibition starting with 10th of June – 10th of July 2011.
After the ample personal exhibition which certified the first ten years of the artistic creation of the artist Tara (von Neudorf), "Trans(a)gressive Millennium" opened in the first half of 2011 at MODEM, Debrecen Hungary, Tara (von Neudorf) comes with a new personal exhibition within NAG #5, "National Bitch".
The project "National Bitch" represents the history of Romania envisioned and drawn by Tara (von Neudorf). It is an exhibition about those Elena who changed the destiny of Romania. An acerbic critique, amusing here and there and extremely personal of the five Elena who marked the mioritic realm over time.
The audience is introduced within the exhibition by Ileana Cosânzeana, a character from the Romanian folk fairy tales. Every Elena is surrounded by the historical events which marked in a way or other the pathways of Romanians. Whether it is about the strikes from Lupeni, Chemistry academician or Lois Vuitton bags.
“National Bitch” is an exhibition about past and present, about things which marked our history. An irony in the Caragiale style regarding the Romanian society from different historical periods, present, past and maybe feature.
Anaid Art Gallery invites you to make an incursion in the contemporary art from Monday to Friday from 11 o’clock until 19 o’clock (11-19), and Saturday from 10 o’clock until 18 o’clock (10-18).
