Cătălin Petrişor makes part from the younger generation of artists. Even his work medium is the painting; he is not interested in picturality in the traditional meaning of the word. He understands this technique like a spectacular way of reproduction and promotion of the image.

"Cult", his first solo exhibition, proposes a way of manipulation of the stereotypes that are linked with the unlashing of the mystical emotion. It delimitates and exploits an area of convergence. The imagistic register is open and includes the mystical elevation, the supernatural, the paranormal, and the occultism. It juggles with cliché generated by diverse religions, superstitions, of different convictions, the artist reinterpreting this cliché with the scope to obtain the traces of an imaginary hybrid cult.

The project represents an image semiotic exercises centre on three symbolical elements: space, light, man with horns.

About the figure of the Man with horns, it repeats in several paintings works being the subject of some projects made on the wall surfaces, in two important zone of the exhibitional space of the gallery. It extends also the visibility levels of the character and also the paintings limits as medium.
