Thursday, 25th November 2004, at 06:00 will take place at Anaid Art Gallery the opening of the exhibition "ANOtimpurile" (Seasons) signed Marian & Victoria Zidaru. The public interested in contemporary art will be able to visit the exhibition from 25th November 2004 until 15th January 2005.

The reengagement and the setting in the framework of some different articulation and syntaxes of the elements that constitute already the universe of Zidaru's works. All this just make much stronger the new character that it will have the exhibition "ANOtimpurile".

The painting on large surfaces in oil on canvas coexists with the sculpture, the installation, photography and video image. Zidaru’s work takes birth through the transfiguration of the whole reality, the paste becoming the future through the signification of the present. The graphic wording combine the modernist abstraction with the postmodern neo-expressionism, the conceptualism with folk art, video art with the rural technologies, the Byzantine hieratismus with the contemporary vernacular kitsch. To Zidaru is almost impossible to separate the practice of esthetics from the existential service, from the moral engagement and spiritual dedication. The public is the one that search and that response the image in the meanwhile the artists are the one that transmit and spread the text.

"ANOtimpurile" make us to think about life and death, to an ancestral circle reenacting and rebirthing, to the idea of birth - death - Resurrection. The works of art are part of a religious discourse and "every gesture of a man is a symbolic one and every object made by men becomes a speaking object" said Zidaru into an interview.

The exhibition it will be opened from 26th October until 15th January 2004. The gallery visit hours are: Monday - Friday: 11:00 am - 07:00 pm; Saturday: 10:00 am - 06:00 pm.
