The project “S4” IN_CRIPTAT Justin Baroncea, Andrei Dinu, Radu Enescu presents how in the “orthodox” churches from Romania the idea of installation is becoming more and more common and how the contemporary art is present in our halls of worship without even notice.
“S4” IN_CRIPTAT Justin Baroncea, Andrei Dinu, Radu Enescu is a delicate reflection and at the same time a critical one regarding the way the progress abusively makes its presence felt in halls of worship, destroying parts of painting or initial structure of an monument.
The exhibition “S4” IN_CRIPTAT Justin Baroncea, Andrei Dinu, Radu Enescu refers to Batistei church where, until two years ago, as the three architects declared: “one of the most interesting and spontaneous orthodox installation, through the head of a saint was passing a pipe from a boiler” existed.
Justin Baroncea, Andrei Dinu and Radu Enescu designed an installation starting form the initial model, creating a dialogue between four identical human sized Saints. The four identical Saints communicate with the help of some fan noises located in intersected pipes.
