Friday, 11th June 2010, 80:00 a.m. will take place at Anaid Art Gallery the opening of the Romanian – Austrian exhibition „You better tell me a story / Erzähl mir lieber eine Geschichte" artists: Andra Andronic Padma Bhatt, Harem6 (Flavia Marele & Ildikó Mureşan), Doroteya Petrova, curator Diana Dochia and lleana Dubovan. The event is organized in the framework of the forth edition of the White Night of the Galleries, NAG # 4. The gallery will be open between 08:00 p.m. to 03:00 a.m. The audience interested in contemporary art will be able to visit the exhibition from 11th June – 11 th July 2010.
You better tell me a story / Erzähl mir lieber eine Geschichte is a Romanian-Austrian exhibition that probes the link between contemporary art and its perception in graphics for children. The exhibition is intended as an interactive installation in Anaid Art Gallery in which two artists from Romania, Andra Andronic and Harem6 (Flavia Marele and Ildikó Mureşan) and two artists from Austria, Padma Bhatt and Doroteya Petrova, mixing different techniques and images, starting in the field of graphics and objects with overlapping sound, text and animation for children. Kids say and listen to increasingly fewer stories; story books are often forgotten on the shelves.
You better tell me a story / Erzähl mir lieber eine Geschichte is about story characters, about illustrations in story books, about story telling and about imaging stories.
You better tell me a story / Erzähl mir lieber eine Geschichte is an exhibition that intertwines with the image depicting a magical world where the main character is the visitor, be it children or adults.
The event also includes two workshops for children between 9-10 years, which will be held as follows:
- Saturday: 12th June 2010 and 3ed July 2010 in the RomanianArtGallery, NationalMuseum of Art
- Sunday: 13th June 2010 and 4th July 2010 in the AnaidArtGallery.

Workshops have been designed in partnership with National Museum of Art, Romania and Dschungel Wien, Austria being organized and supported by the Association of Art + Architecture Today, Bucharest, Romania and Kunst365, Vienna, Austria. Exhibition "You better tell me a story / Erzähl mir lieber eine Geschichte" will travel to Vienna at Dschungel Wien - Theaterhaus für Junges Publikum, MuseumsQuartier, in September 2011. In the exhibition will be organized two workshops for children.
AnaidArtGallery invites you to make an incursion in the contemporary art from Monday until Friday: 11 a.m. – 07 p.m. and Saturday: 10 a.m. - 06 p.m.
