Anaid Art Gallery’s activity is already internationally recognized through projects carried out in its galleries in Bucharest, Berlin, and Baden-Baden.
Anaid Art Gallery: “It’s time for Paris!” is a pilot exhibition program aimed at promoting the artists represented by the gallery over the next two years within the vibrant contemporary art market of Paris. In recent years, especially after the pandemic, Paris has regained its status as a top destination for contemporary art. The exhibition program will be held in collaboration with the Contemporary Art Association Galerie des Artistes in Paris, at the exhibition space located at 20 Rue Saint Blaise, 75020 Paris.
Anaid Art Gallery: “It’s time for Paris!” will include a series of 3 to 4 solo shows per year, showcasing the gallery’s represented artists. The inauguration of the exhibition program Anaid Art Gallery: “It’s time for Paris!” will take place on April 10, 2025, with a solo show by the artist Alexandru Rădvan.
Alexandru Rădvan, an artist known for his bold and evocative style, has garnered international recognition for his thought-provoking works that often push the boundaries of contemporary art. His unique approach combines classical techniques with modern themes, creating a dynamic and immersive experience for the audience. The solo show The Possibility of a Wild Beach by Alexandru Rădvan, curator Diana Dochia, PhD, opens on Thursday, 10th April 2025, at 19:00 o’clock, will run until 27th April 2025. The first solo show of the artist Alexandru Rădvan in Paris, “The Possibility of a Wild Beach” captures the tension between instinct and society, between the promise of limitless pleasure and the reality of a world that, rather than liberating, fragments and alienates. The exhibition title, The Possibility of a Wild Beach, is no coincidence, referencing the literary universe of Michel Houellebecq, the French writer who dissects, with unflinching honesty, the themes of desire, loneliness, and the decadence of the contemporary world.
The solo show presents as the focus the Wild Beach series consists of more than 30 small-scale paintings (41.5 H x 29.5 W cm) created between 2021 and 2023. As he has done in previous bodies of work, the artist explores a world of unleashed corporeality, of an eros consumed by its own excess. His characters seem driven by a deep search for freedom and human origins.
Regarding this series, Wild Beach, Alexandru Rădvan confessed: “A safe place. So familiar, yet so distant. The sum of all the sunsets, afternoons, hugs, and kisses that I have ever witnessed on the shores of my inner seas. A distilled impression of hundreds and thousands of bodies and couples I have watched, observed, spied on, admired, envied. The beauty of skin under the sun.”
The exhibition could be visited from Tuesday to Friday from 15:00 until 20:00 o’clock and Saturday and Sunday from 13:00 until 19:00 o’clock. In other timeframe by appointment at
info@anaidartgallery.com or at +33 6 50 86 55 04.
